Terms of Use

01 Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Fitbet application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Fitbet ("Fitbet", "we", "us", or "our"), an Icelandic company. For any enquiries, contact us at fitbet@fitbet.fit.

02 The Service

Fitbet is a social fitness application that allows users to make predictions on football matches and challenge friends to complete workouts as the consequence of incorrect predictions. The App is not a gambling service — no money or monetary equivalents are ever wagered. The only stakes are physical exercise.

03 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use Fitbet. By using the App you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will terminate their account immediately and delete all associated data.

04 Your Account

To use Fitbet you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Ensuring your account information is accurate and up to date
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use at fitbet@fitbet.fit

You may not create multiple accounts or transfer your account to another person without our written consent.

05 Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Fitbet to:

• Upload false, misleading or fabricated workout proof
• Harass, threaten or abuse other users
• Attempt to manipulate match results or game data
• Use automated bots, scrapers or scripts to access the App
• Reverse engineer, decompile or tamper with the App
• Violate any applicable local, national or international law
• Create an account if you have been previously banned

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

06 Bets, Challenges and Workout Proof

All bets and challenges on Fitbet are social in nature and involve no monetary exchange. When you lose a bet or challenge, you agree to complete the agreed workout in good faith.

Workout proof (photos or videos) must be genuine and accurately represent the completed exercise. Uploading false proof is a violation of these Terms and may result in account suspension.

Fitbet is not responsible for any physical injury that may occur during the completion of a workout challenge. You participate in all physical activities at your own risk. Consult a medical professional before undertaking strenuous exercise if you have any health concerns.

07 Premium Subscription

Fitbet offers an optional Premium subscription at €4.99 per month, processed through Google Play or the Apple App Store. By subscribing you agree to the following:

• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Cancellation must be done through your Google Play or App Store account settings
• We do not have access to your payment card details — all payments are handled by Apple or Google
• Refund requests are subject to the refund policies of the respective store
• We reserve the right to change the subscription price with reasonable advance notice

Premium features are provided on an "as available" basis and we do not guarantee uninterrupted access to any specific feature.

08 Intellectual Property

All content within the Fitbet App — including but not limited to the design, logo, graphics, text, software and features — is the property of Fitbet and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify or create derivative works of any part of the App without our express written permission.

By uploading proof photos or videos to Fitbet, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and display that content solely for the purpose of operating the service. You retain ownership of your content.

09 Disclaimers

Fitbet is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure
• Match data or results will always be accurate or timely
• Any defects will be corrected

Football match data is sourced from third-party providers. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee the correctness of all match results, schedules or league information displayed in the App.

10 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Icelandic law, Fitbet shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to:

• Physical injury sustained during a workout challenge
• Loss of data or account access
• Disputes between users
• Inaccurate match results or data

Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid in subscription fees in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €50, whichever is greater.

11 Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at fitbet@fitbet.fit. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms, with or without notice. Sections 8, 9, 10 and 12 of these Terms survive termination.

12 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Iceland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Icelandic courts.

If you are a consumer resident in the EEA, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.

13 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by email with reasonable advance notice. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
